BROOKFIELD BUSINESS PARK PROVES MAGNET FOR NATIONAL FIRMS
National firm Magnet, which specialises in the design and manufacture of quality fitted kitchens, has been announced as the latest occupier to take space at Priority Sites’ Brookfield Business Park Development. The kitchen specialist has signed up to take a 15-year lease on 14,000 sq ft of space at the park, located off Brookfield Drive in Aintree.
Leading regeneration specialist, Priority Sites, who recently completed the first phase of development at the Business Park in Liverpool, has reported a very high level of enquiries in the 57,000 sq ft of new business accommodation.
Murray Carr, Area Development Manager for Priority Sites, comments: “Following the completion of the park early this year, we have received significant interest in the units from both local and national companies. The fact that a national firm such as Magnet has chosen to locate here is great news and further testament to the quality of the development. We are now progressing plans to bring forward a further 76,000 sq ft of speculative industrial space at the Park, in response to this very successful first phase of development.”
Andy Cartlidge, Head of Group Property & Store Development at Magnet comments; “As part of our ongoing national growth strategy, we are pleased to announce that we have recently taken out a 15 year lease on a property in Aintree with a view to opening a stunning new kitchen showroom later this year. This will offer us an opportunity to grow our brand in the North West whilst offering employment for numerous local kitchen designers and installers.”
The joint appointed agents on the scheme are Hitchcock Wright and Partners and GVA Grimley. Nick Harrop of HWP adds; “We’ve seen significant interest in the new commercial accommodation and have already sold 5 units with a further two under offer. Brookfield Business Park is only minutes from both the M57 motorway and the city centre. The top specification and quality of the units, coupled with the prime location are proving a real draw for potential occupiers looking to relocate or expand.”
Priority Sites developed Brookfield Business Park in partnership with Liverpool Land Development Company, now part of Liverpool Vision, the new economic development company for the city. Rob Monaghan, Liverpool Vision Development Director, adds; “We’re pleased to see new investment by this national company into Brookfield Business Park. Our long-term vision for the site is now being realised and reflects the quality of the business space and environment that’s now on offer.”
